Mr. Kevin Konecny is an Education Consultant at the Qatar
Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development, Education Department, Student Affairs, Doha, Qatar. He plans to complete his Ph.D. degree in December 2006 from the Higher
Education Administration Program at Bowling Green State University, Bowling Green, Ohio. Mr. Konecny holds a Master of Science in Education from St. Bonaventure University, St. Bonaventure, New York. He completed his Bachelor of Science in Political Science and Social
Studies at University of Maine, Farmington. Mr. Konecny was appointed
by George V. Voinovich, Governor of Ohio, to serve a two-year term
from 1998 to 2000 as the Graduate Student Trustee at Bowling Green State University. From 1999-2000, Kevin served as the Doctoral Fellow for Annual Giving at the Bowling Green State University Office of Development. Mr. Konecny has experience working as an educator
and administrator in an international setting. He has a passion for
global education and recognizes the significant need in Africa and
sees this as an opportunity to contribute in an area where he has significant passion. Reflecting on his nomination to become a board member of African University Foundation’s Board of Trustees, Mr. Konecny said: “I am excited about the work of the African University Foundation and I would like to help advance this initiative and help to make the dream a reality.”
