Mr. Scott Truex

Mr. Scott Truex is the Director of Ball State University's College of Architecture and Planning - Indianapolis Center. He is also a Senior Fellow at the Sagamore Institute for Policy Research, Indianapolis, Indiana. He leads the work of Ball State University's College of Architecture and Planning in the partnership with the African University Foundation. Mr. Truex completed his higher education studies at Ball State University where he completed a Master of Architecture in 1982, Bachelor of Architecture in 1980 and Bachelor of Science in Environmental Design in 1980. As a student and faculty at Ball State University, Mr. Truex has benefited from immersion learning and teaching experiences that focused on “real world” problems. He has conducted several community workshops and projects as part of planning and design activities. These projects have focused on community involvement and consensus building, which lead to planning strategies and recommendations. As team leader or project director Mr. Truex has worked with hundreds of students and some of the finest professional in the United Sates. These experiences, combined with his international work in El Salvador, South Africa, Malawi and Mozambique shall enable him to be an integral part of the development of this African University, Tali, Cameroon. |
